General Information: Generally, accommodation in Sydney is difficult (but not impossible) to find. Due to the combination of a number of large Universities in and around Sydney (The University of Sydney alone has 40,000+ students on campus each year) and many tourists and migrants, the demand on short and mid term accommodation is very high. Aside from the University accommodation services listed above there are a number of other options available for finding accommodation.
These options will be similar to finding accommodation in any country and include the following:
